We've heard about the long-running feud between Josh Norman and Odell Beckham Jr., which gained steam just before training camp following comments from the Giants wide receiver. Norrman laughed off Beckham's remarks early in training camp.
He didn't let Cardinals CB Patrick Peterson off the hook.
The topic of whether Norman was struggling in training camp surfaced nationally after a couple of clips showed receivers beating him for receptions in camp including DeSean Jackson.
After another video showed Pierre Garcon beatin Norman, Peterson, another one of the NFL's top corners, weighed in.
Norman was asked about Peterson during an interview Wednesday with ABC7's Erin Hawksworth.
"That guy," said a chuckling Norman. "Oh, wow. Well, I haven't gotten scored on by DeSean in a game. That's really all I have to say about that."
Looks like Norman knows about covering receivers and NFL history.
Yes, Jackson burned Peterson for a 64-yard touchdown in during Week 6 of the 2014 season. Redskins.com described the play, which came off a pass from Cousins,t the time as follows. "Gaining separation off the line of scrimmage in a one-on-one battle with Cardinals All-Pro cornerback Patrick Peterson, Jackson caught the pass right around midfield, eluded safety Tyrann Mathieu’s tackle attempt and raced ahead untouched for the score."
There is zero shame in getting beat by a playmaker like Jackson. But, still, that's a game as opposed to all the Norman talk Yes, we're talking practice (Allen Iverson voice).
