Redskins playing games with new locker room is good

The Redskins revealed pictures of their remodeled locker room.

I'm not the only person in town who covers multiple teams in town, but I do get around. All the pro teams in the D.C.area plus one in Baltimore. In terms of the locker room scene, the Baltimore Orioles were always No.1. Part of that simply involved the positive vibes, which start with manager Buck Showalter and star outfielder Adam Jones.

The other plus reason? Their locker room has toys. Pool table, ping pong, etc. These items are not childish, but the centerpieces of camaraderie. The Orioles spend 81 home games and other practice/off days. That's a bunch of time with a bunch of guys in a confined space. Even the greatest conversationalists would struggle keeping positive flow going in just a room lined with lockers.

As of Wednesday, it appears the Washington Redskins may have taken notice and I may need to revise my list of the best local locker room scenes.

Here's just one picture provided by the Redskins.

The Redskins are back in Ashburn Wednesday for practice and final media availability before Friday's second preseason game against the New York Jets.
