Dustin Hopkins made 25/28 field goals last year with a long of 54. The fourth year kicker gave Washington a sense of stability last season when signed after the team's first regular season game. Hopkins hopes to give the Redskins that long-term answer they've needed at kicker.
Defensive Lineman Chris Baker had a career season that netted him 6 sacks and 3 forced fumbles. The 5th year lineman has become one of the ultimate team success stories after being an undrafted player from Hampton. Baker has developed into now a key piece on Washington's defensive front.
Of course, you can't hand out awards without giving your starting QB one while playing his favorite band's music! Kirk Cousins received the keys to the car that is the Washington Redskins late in preseason last year. Cousins would only go on to break several team passing records, throwing for over 4,000 yards and for 29 touchdowns. Not to mention, he lead the team to a division title and playoff berth. During his acceptance speech, Cousins credited his teammates for the success: "I need them more than they need me."
