Manny's Film Review: Redskins at Ravens

Breakdown of four plays from the Redskins at Ravens.

*Terrance West 27 yard run. Nose Tackle Matt Ioannidis was completely pushed out the play creating a big hole. Safety Duke Ihenacho whiffed big time in open space and West went marching down the field. The Redskins were, however, later able to get the Ravens off the field without any points scored.

*Scherff Monster: This play with Brandon Scherff was just kinda funny to me. He did a good job assisting Spencer Long on a block against Timmy Jernigan. Knocked him on his back with ease.

*Cousins Continues To Miss: This pass to Jordan Reed should've been a touchdown or at least a big play. It was a brilliant play design hiding Reed on the right side of the line with Vernon Davis and Niles Paul next to him. With only one WR (DJax) outside, it gave a strong run look. Reed was open off-the-bat. Cousins knew he was going to get hit. He needed to stand there and make the throw. Instead he faded and threw a lazy ball off his backfoot. Missed opportunity.

*Crowder Punt Return: Will Blackmon did a good job lead blocking -- he took out two guys. DeShazor Everrett had a big hit that also paved the way. But Jamison Crowder did most of the job himself. He broke a couple tackles -- fooled the punter and showed an extra gear.
