Redskins coach Jay Gruden's Monday press conference included injury updates, Josh Doctson's situation and more following Washington's fourth straight win.
There's no drama about Josh Doctson status this week. The first round pick won't practice as the Washington Redskins prep for Sunday's game at the Detroit Lions. Don't count on seeing the wide receiver until after the Week 9 bye. Don't be shocked if Doctson lands on the injured reserve list if the scenario with his lingering Achilles injury doesn't change.
That and more from coach Jay Gruden's press conference at Redskins Park, starting with the update on tight end Jordan Reed and linebacker Su'a Cravens
Gruden said all other injuries were minor by nature.
* There's clearly nothing minor about Doctson's injury, which has kept him out of the lineup since Week 2.
At some point questions should be asked about how the team handled the situation.
* The defense hasn't allowed a touchdown since the opening drive of Week 5 and extended its streak to four straight games without a second half TD
