Redskins must take advantage of struggling teams atop their November slate of games:
All of a sudden, the Washington Redskins' (4-3-1) early November slate of games are looking a lot less daunting. The team will face the Minnesota Vikings Week 10 and follow-up with a Week 11 Sunday Night game against the Green Bay Packers. Both matchups will be played at FedEx Field. So the stage is set for Washington to muster up a couple huge wins.
The Vikings (5-3) have lost three straight games and appear to be unraveling as an offense. Not only that, but their defense has also been less-than-stellar, after an otherwise dominant first couple months of football. Although the Redskins will be without Pro-Bowl LT Trent Williams, they could find themselves in position to overcome the loss against a struggling Vikings team.
Not to mention, the Packers (4-4) have lost two straight and just have looked rather pedestrian for much of this season. The team has suffered a few injuries on both offense and defense. They have no true ground game. They're a team that just can't seem to dig themselves out holes.
The Redskins, of course, should be careful not to overlook these two teams. Each team still has plenty talent that could show up at any given point. But if the Redskins are able to take advantage of these games, it could make their Thanksgiving dual against the red-hot Dallas Cowboys super important.
