Redskins' Preseason Schedule Announced

Washington opens the 2017 season at Baltimore, the first of four games before the regular season opens.

Football games involving the Washington Redskins won't be played until August, but at least know the opponents. Some of the dates and times, not so much.

The NFL announced the preseason schedule for all 32 teams. Here's Washington's:

Aug. 10-13                  at Baltimore Ravens (TBA)

Aug. 17-20                  vs. GREEN BAY PACKERS (TBA)

Aug. 27                       vs. CINCINNATI BENGALS (4:30 p.m.)

Aug. 31                       at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (TBA)

Matchups with the Ravens and, oddly, the Buccaneers are rather common. With the Bengals, head coach Jay Gruden gets to face his old team. There will be no better test for a Week 2 preseason game than facing Aaron Rodgers and the Packers.

Still no word if the Redskins can and will find an opponent for joint practice sessions in Richmond. Stay tuned. Or not. Your call. In this case, we're talking practice.
