Warpath Injury Update

Redskins linebacker LaVar Arrington took part in practice, doing most of the early work but sitting out the final part of the workout. Arrington has not played in the past two games because of a knee injury, but was optimistic that he would play Friday against Atlanta.

. . . End Phillip Daniels, who has not played in the first four preseason games because of an abdominal strain, also practiced.

. . . End Renaldo Wynn did not practice because of a sprained toe, but is expected to return Tuesday.

. . . Left tackle Chris Samuels (sprained ankle) will have the walking boot removed Tuesday. He's still optimistic about playing in the Sept. 12 opener against Tampa Bay.

. . . Linebacker Mike Barrow (knee) did not practice. His status for Friday has not been determined.

. . . Linebacker Clifton Smith has a bruised and swollen elbow and did not practice. The Redskins took three X-rays, but all were negative.

. . . Defensive tackle Brandon Noble (knee) did not practice. He's expected to practice Tuesday.

. . .Offensive lineman Marcus Spriggs sprained an ankle, which trainer Bubba Tyer says could be worse than Samuels'.
