They've agreed to a contract with free agent center Casey Rabach, who had played with Baltimore. Rabach can also play guard, a welcomed versatility. But his greatest contribution will be at center. Rabach's deal is contingent on his passing a physical this afternoon.
Center was a top priority after last season in which both Cory Raymer and Lennie Friedman struggled. The latter is considered too small and the former is better as a reserve.
Also, the Redskins agreed to a deal with defensive tackle Joe Salave'a. They also restructured Chris Samuels' contract and will hold a press conference today to announce the move.
