Taylor and Redskins coach Joe Gibbs talked Tuesday afternoon, a discussion Gibbs characterized as a ''good talk.''
Taylor was arrested on a assault charge last week in Florida and has been excused from the rest of offseason workouts. Taylor's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, was also on the phone.
''We talked about the situation and had a personal conversation,'' Gibbs said. ''We're hoping the issues can be cleared up and give Sean time to work on this. He relayed to me what had happened from his side of it. We had a good talk. We hope that all this gets resolved as quick as we can.''
Gibbs said he did not ask Taylor why he hadn't returned his calls earlier this offseason. Though Gibbs did not divulge much of what was said, but he made it sound as if most of the conversation centered around what happened.
''Most of the stuff we talked about was personal stuff,'' Gibbs said. ''I don't think I want to go into it as far as what was talked about.''
