Rookie Robert McCune was among seven players signed to the Redskins' practice squad list today.
McCune was one of three draft picks to not make the active roster out of camp. Linebacker Jared Newberry was cut and H-back Manuel White was placed on injured reserve, though he was nondescript in camp and probably headed for the practice squad as well.
McCune, though big and fast, was considered a project by the coaches--more so than rookie undrafted tryout linebacker Zak Keasey.
The other six players on the list: offensive lineman Jon Alston, running back Jonathan Combs, tight end Robert Johnson, defensive lineman Aki Jones, defensive back Christian Morton and receiver Rich Parson. All but Morton were in camp with Washington this summer.
