At the portion of today's practice that the media was allowed to watch today, LaVar Arrington was with not the linebacker group, not the special teams, but with the defensive line. During what was more an on-field chalk talk than an actually drill, Arrington watched with his helmet off as defensive line coach Greg Blache went through proper alignments and initial reads for the line. As the rest of the defense joined the line on one of the far fields at Redskins Park, the media was asked to leave, so obviously we can't tell exactly what he did or where he lined up. Stay tuned.
Walt Harris did not practice, but he was out on the field doing some very light running, stopping and starting. Look for him to be listed as questionable on this week's injury report.
Just as he has been for the last couple of weeks, John Hall was dressed out but not kicking. Since Gibbs has said that they want him to be able to kick in practice for two weeks before they think about activating him, look for Hall to be inactive this Sunday.
Proving that kickers are a different breed, Nick Novak was out all alone at the far end of the far field accompanied by just a ball boy. He was kicking off of a tee, booming 50-yarders into the net. He had two balls so the ball boy would bring him them to him and he would get off two kicks just seconds apart. Sounds like the end of Sunday's game.
