Hard worker with a strong lower body...Hits explosively and creates movement off the snap...Bends his knees and has a wide leg base, displaying a fluid retreat setting up in pass protection... Maintains balance and gets his hands up quickly to sustain and gain leverage vs. the rush…Does a nice job of using his size and arm power to redirect… Flashes the ability to sustain and slide his feet in pass protection…Two-year starter at left offensive tackle who is one of the strongest players on the team…Started 22 of his final 24 games.

 

2001 SEASON

Started ten contests at left offensive tackle, collecting 65 key blocks/knockdowns for an offense that averaged 402.4 yards per game.

Louisiana State…Made six knockdowns, blocking linebacker Trev Faulk on a 70-yard touchdown pass from QB Casey Clausen to Kelly Washington and also opened a hole used by Clausen for a 3-yard scoring run as the team totaled 448 yards.

Alabama…Blocked defensive tackle Jarret Johnson to clear a rush lane used by Clausen for a 1-yard scoring run as the team gained 480 yards.

Kentucky…Knocked down defensive end Dennis Johnson with a block on Clausen's 59-yard touchdown pass to Donte' Stallworth.

Florida…Made a key block on linebacker Andra Davis to spring tailback Travis Stephens for a 35-yard scoring run as the Vols amassed 242 yards on the ground.

Michigan (Citrus Bowl)…Cleared a path for Stephens' 3-yard touchdown run as the offense finished with 503 yards.

 

2000 SEASON

Started every game at left offensive tackle, grading 82.2% for blocking consistency while posting 73 knockdowns for an offense that averaged 406.4 yards per game.

Louisiana State…Had six knockdowns, including one that cleared the way for a 13-yard gain by tailback Travis Henry that set up a Vol 36-yard field goal.

Arkansas…Graded a season-high 88% as he totaled ten knockdowns and blocked a pair of defenders on a 2-yard scoring pass to David Martin from QB Casey Clausen, as the team amassed 502 yards.

 

1999 SEASON

Appeared in ten games, starting the Georgia contest at left offensive tackle.

Georgia…Helped the pass protection with four knockdowns as QB Tee Martin passed for 283 yards and rushed for three touchdowns.

Rated the best offensive line prospect in Arkansas by Super Prep as a senior at Jonesboro (Ark.) High…A three-year starter, he played both ways at offensive tackle and defensive end...Two-time All-State pick...As a senior he had 72 tackles with 12 for losses and three sacks...All-Region and All-District...Starting center on the state championship basketball team as a freshman...Averaged 13 points, seven rebounds as a senior...Threw shot put for track team.
