--SLB Carlos Emmons underwent an MRI and was found to have a partially torn pectoral muscle. Coach Tom Coughlin said he has a 50-50 chance of playing Sunday against Washington. He is listed as questionable. If he can't play, Reggie Torbor will start at SLB with Nick Greisen at WLB and Antonio Pierce at MLB.

--WR Plaxico Burress, who wasn't absolutely sure he'd play against Denver because of back spasms, did play and had six receptions for 84 yards and a TD. He has 37 receptions in six games for 481 yards and five TDs. He suffered a sprained shoulder against Denver and is day-to-day. He did not practice Wednesday.

--PK Jose Cortez was claimed on waivers Tuesday, a day after he was released by the Dallas Cowboys after missing a 29-yard field goal in their three-point loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Cortez will replace Todd France on Sunday against Denver. But he likely will remain on the roster after that even though David Akers is expected to return next week after missing four games with a torn hamstring. The Eagles acquired Cortez mainly because he's better on kickoffs than France. Fearful of Akers reinjuring his hamstring, the Eagles only will use him on field goals and PATs initially.

--WR Terrell Owens has 12 catches in the last two games, but averaged just 8.5 yards per catch on those 12 receptions.

--QB Donovan McNabb insists his sports hernia injury isn't preventing him from throwing the deep ball. "A lot of teams have been trying to eliminate the big play for us," he said. "If it's deeper passes, if it's me getting out of the pocket trying to throw a deeper pass, whatever it may be. So that's why you see some (shorter) routes that are 10 or 15 yards."

Williams will be on probation for a year, as well as pay a $1,000 fine and other court costs. He also must comply with counseling as recommended.

Boldin had at least three catches in every game he'd ever played. In his 32-game career, Boldin has 193 catches, the most ever by an NFL player in his first 32.

--RB J.J. Arrington not only had the longest run of his brief career - 32 yards - against Tennessee, but it nearly equaled his output in his first five games combined - 41 yards. Arrington had minus-2 yards on his four other attempts against the Titans, more closely resembling the disappointing season the rookie second-round pick is enduring.

--OLB Karlos Dansby continues to be the highlight of a lame defense. With another sack, forced fumble and recovery against the Titans, Dansby now has three sacks, two interceptions and two forced fumbles in six games. The second-year playmaker from Auburn also leads the Cardinals with 47 tackles.

--WR/KR J.J. Moses was re-signed. He had been claimed on waivers in late August and appeared destined to be the team's kickoff and punt returner when he survived the final cut. But a day later, after Reggie Swinton became available, Moses was cut in favor of Swinton. Swinton has a toe injury but played through it last weekend. Moses is expected to be the fourth receiver and the backup returner.

--WR Charles Lee was cut a day after he exchanged words on the sideline with special-teams coach Kevin O'Dea. Lee was the fourth receiver but played on all the special teams. He had 11 catches (13.8-yard average).

--DT Kevin Williams pleaded guilty in Hennepin Count (Minn.) District Court to one count of disorderly conduct for a loud argument with his wife at their Minnetonka home. He accepted the misdemeanor plea in exchange for the dropping of other charges connected to the August incident. Williams will be on probation for a year, as well as pay a $1,000 fine and other court costs. He also must comply with counseling as recommended.

With 7,225 pass attempts in his career, he needs only 26 to surpass John Elway for No. 2 all-time. Dan Marino has the record with 8,358. Also, Favre, with 51,305 career passing yards, needs just 171 yards to overtake Elway for second place all-time. Marino set the standard with 61,361 yards.

--RB Ahman Green underwent surgery Tuesday to repair the torn quadriceps tendon in his right leg. Green suffered the season-ending injury in the fourth quarter of the 23-20 loss at Minnesota on Sunday. The free-agent-to-be faces a long recovery and isn't expected to return to the field until training camp next year.
