Injuries:

"We have put [P] Dirk Johnson on IR and we brought in Reggie Hodges, the 6th round draft pick of the Rams from Ball State . He punted for them for the first 4 games. So, he will join us today. [DE] Jevon Kearse will not practice today, he has a shoulder sprain and is day-to-day. [QB] Donovan [McNabb] has a rib contusion and he will not practice today. That is day-to-day. [WR Terrell Owens] has an ankle sprain and is making a little progress. It is the same ankle that he had the surgery on and that is also day-to-day. [DT] Sam Rayburn has a stinger and will not practice today. That is day-to-day. [MLB] Jeremiah Trotter had some knee inflammation yesterday and we are checking that out now. We will see how things go with practice. There is a chance he does not practice."

Opening remarks:

"We look forward to playing in the NFC East again against the Washington Redskins. They are a good football team and it's always a big rivalry. Both teams will be ready to go. The team I am most concerned about, obviously is our team being ready to go. The guys came in today very focused with a lot of energy. I think they look forward to getting back to practice and getting back to business."

On whether Owens is going to practice today:

"T.O. is not practicing today."

On who would start if Owens can not go in the game:

"[WR] Reggie [Brown] would start."

On whether there is a connection to Owens ankle injury last year and this injury:

"No, not as far as a break or where the break was."

On whether Trotter's knee is connected to previous knee injuries:

"Well, he's had it with both knees, but it's a different feel than he's had. It's sore and a bit swollen."

On whether Dirk's health after having the hernia surgery affected the decision whether Donovan should have the surgery:

"No, it was two different things. The thing that Dirk had was a partial tear in the groin and normally when they go in there and do the surgery they release that. They decided not to do that at that time, to see if he could make it through the season. They didn't feel they needed to repair it at that time and there was that risk that he might tear that. With the rest that he had, they felt like it had scarred pretty well and he would be able to go, but it didn't work out."

On whether Dirk will need more surgery:

"They are going to see. Normally they go in and clean up some things, but it has not been finalized."

On a report that said he was surprised to hear T.O. was injured:

"I hadn't heard that, so I don't worry about that. The injury is a day-to-day thing and that is the way he is approaching it. We will see how it goes. As far as I know, from T.O. and from the trainers that this what it is. We will see. He is hurting and he's sore and it is going to be a fight to get him there for Sunday, but we are taking it day by day and he is making progress in the last couple of days."

On what T.O. is listed as:

"He's listed as doubtful."

On when T.O. got hurt:

"He got hurt on the long play on their sideline."

On whether he is worried about anyone else not being able to play this week:

"Again, there are day-to-day situations. So, we are just got to see how it goes, how the rehab part goes and whether they continue to make progress."

On whether it has been difficult keeping T.O. healthy:

"I don't make it that drastic of a thing. He gets banged up like other guys get banged up. It happens and I don't worry that much about it. We will see how he does with it. He's played through most of it and has been very effective. So, we will see how he does with this one."

On how many punters were auditioned today:

"Six."

On whether they brought P Sean Landeta in:

"No, we didn't bring him in."

On whether the offense will try to run the ball more against the Redskins:

"We are going to concentrate on running our offense. That is what we are going to do and that's whether it is throwing the ball or running the ball. We will see how it works out this week. I don't get too much into that other stuff."

On whether the injury to Donovan's ribs is serious:

"It's sore. We did an MRI and CT scans and it's not fractured. It's bruised and we will see how he does here. He is a little stiff today. We will see how he does in the next couple of days."

On when the rib injury happened:

"He got hit and then he fell on [G] Shawn Andrew's foot. That's really what happened."

On which quarter the injury occurred:

"I want to say in the beginning of the fourth quarter without being exact. It really stiffened up afterward is what happened. It was pretty good during the game. It's not as bad as it is right now."

On whether the injury is in the same area as his rib injury in the NFC Championship game against the Panthers:

"I can't tell you that accurately."

On whether QB Koy Detmer will take first string snaps at practice today:

"Koy took snaps out here and we will get [QB] Mike [McMahon] ready as well. Koy will take the snaps."

On what McNabb and Kearse are listed as:

"Kearse is questionable and McNabb is probable."

On how McMahon is doing after having his knee surgery:

"He has done well. He feels pretty good. He can play and do all that, functioning very well."

On where these injuries leave the offense:

"I'm optimistic about those guys playing. If things don't work out and they can't play, we have always moved on and the next guy comes in and does his job. That is not taking anything away from [McNabb and Owens] because both are great players. We have done that with this football team in the past. The next guy steps up and is responsible for doing his job to the best of his ability and keeps it rolling."

On what he thinks about T.O. saying on his radio show that if he had to do it all over again, he would not have rehabbed so hard to play in the Super Bowl and whether he worries that this might be the case now:

"I never question that about him. He loves to play the game and wants to be out there."

On K David Akers' status:

"David is going to practice today. Most likely, he will just do field goals and [K] Jose [Cortez] will do kickoffs."

On whether Akers has a chance to play this week:

"Yeah, there is a chance."

QB Donovan McNabb Press Conference

11-2-05

On how the rib feels:

"Sore, a little tight, but just something that we'll have to continue to treat, and look forward to it getting better and better each day, and getting back out on that field."

On where it is:

"On my left side."

On whether he is thinking about what else could go wrong with his body:

"I try not to think that way. Obviously it's tough when you get one injury, but when it's multiple injuries and added with what's going on, it's tough. But I think the best way of handling it is just continuing to take care of your body, and in doing that, being prepared to get out on that field and make a change. We look forward as a team to changing this thing around into a positive direction and just eliminating everything else."

On whether this is the most banged up he's been in a season:

"Yes, but things happen. I said it in the beginning of this season that everyone talked about teams coming from the Super Bowl and what happened to them, and I've always said that injuries have played a major part. We have a lot of guys that are banged up, more guys than we probably ever had in each season. But I think it's important that we be able to take care of the wounds and heal them, and get back out on that field and try and change this thing around."

On whether the rib injury affected him when it happened:

"It happened in the 4th quarter. I was hit, went down on [G/T] Shawn Andrews' cleat or heel. I kind of got driven into it. I stayed down for a little bit and then kind of just wanted to fight through it. It tightened up on me after the game. I came in on Monday. We tried to loosen things up, got some tests done to it, found out there were no breaks, no fractures. But it just kind of tightened up last night as well."

On why the team hasn't been able to turn it around:

"It's kind of hard to pinpoint it, but as the quarterback of the team and the leader of the team, I think it's important that I be able to come out and get into a rhythm early. If it's making the right check, getting the ball out and letting the guys work, get something to kind of give us a push. I think in the last three weeks the stuff that kind of sticks in everyone's minds, it's kind of just been pretty much inconsistent. I think the way of changing it, with the ball in my hands be able to establish a tempo early, if it's in the run game or the pass game."

On how much more difficult it will be to get things going with WR Terrell Owens possibly out this week:

"With all of us kind of banged up it's tough, but I think I'm definitely going to work myself back to a way of getting back out there and I'm sure he's doing the same. So, if neither of us are out there, or if one of us is out there, I think it's important for all of us as a team to just understand the situation, and just get this thing going. And for myself, if I'm out there, just make sure all of the guys are involved and try to spread it around and do whatever it takes in order for us to come out with a win."

On whether he is getting close to changing his philosophy of always playing:

"No. I love this game too much. As hard as it is with what we're going through right now, it would be even harder sitting on that sideline and feeling like you're not a part. When you do that it seems that you're just throwing in the towel, and my towel is still folded up sitting on the chair. I never throw the towel in and always feel confident that we can make things happen, and we did do it through the course of the game in Denver when were down 28-0. To put 21 points on the board like that, if we were able to do that early it would have been a much different ball game. And I look forward to us making that change and being able to do that."

On whether he feels he is getting enough time to get to the line, make his reads, and adjust if necessary:

"We're hurried a little bit, but it's just communication from me and the rest of the guys on the sideline to the guys that are in the huddle, and getting to the line, so if we have to make a check, we're doing it in a reasonable enough time. But the ball is in my hands. I'm the leader out there on that football field. I'm the coach out on the field, the captain, whatever you may want to call it. I have to be the one to get it going and that is something I will do."

On whether the crowd noise has been an issue on the road:

"There are a lot of variables. And if it's getting up to the line and making a check, I have to go down the line and make sure every offensive lineman knows what's going on, spread it to the receivers, turn around, talk to the backs, and in due time look at the play clock and see exactly how much time we have left. It has got to happen fast and it's something that I have to do."

On whether he feels he is getting the play with enough time to adjust if necessary:

"The majority of time, yes."

On whether getting to the line late makes it a bit easier on the opposing defense:

"Of course at times it does. I think it's important that we be able to get up and be able to snap it somewhere in the 5-10 second range, where they just can't jump off because they know it's going down. But teams have been taking full advantage of it and that is the case."

On what he pinpoints the slow starts to:

"I think it's not being able to establish the tempo of getting into a rhythm. I think from when we have been in a rhythm starting the games out, we've been able to do a lot of different things, pass, playaction, run the ball well, which will lead us to getting points. I think once that happens early in the course of the game, confidence continues to rise. Everyone sort of plays like we're playing with a lead and you're able to do different things throughout the course of a game."

On what goes into creating a script each week:

"I have the opportunity to take plays out if I don't like it, or have us run the play pretty much a lot of the time through the game if I see that we're getting the coverage or the defense that it would able to work against. What happens during the course of the week is a lot of film work, preparation, understanding what you're going to see out there on that field, the blitzes you're going to see and the answers to those blitzes."

On about how many plays he can take out:

"It varies every week. (Jokingly) We're only running the ball twice this week."

On whether he goes along with the gameplan and around how many plays he takes out:

"It could be a few. It could be five or six. It all varies. Everyone has their input in it. All the coaches are brainstorming up there. When we're out at practice, if you don't feel comfortable with running it that week, you put it on the shelf for awhile. I think the best way [to get things going], especially for the offense that we have, we have to have our timing and chemistry there. If we're all confident in that play, then we'll be able to execute."

On whether he trusts WR Reggie Brown enough with the progression he has made in this offense:

"I do. I think he's preparing himself real well. Obviously it's tough being the 3rd wide receiver, but he's done a great job with that. We've definitely worked on timing in practice and we've been able to run different routes and have good placement on balls. And he's been doing a great job of catching the ball and getting upfield for it. It would be a good thing for him in the situation where T.O. doesn't play to get out there and be able to make some plays for us."

On Washington 's defense:

"The Redskins are a very good team. They had a tough one against the Giants just like we had one against Denver . But they are going to be a team that is going to be very fired up coming into this game. They're back home Sunday night against an NFC East opponent. Defensively, I think they play with a lot of emotion. They play to get to the quarterback. Their defensive coordinator [Gregg Williams] does an excellent job of trying to get their guys in great position. I think now, kind of rotating [LB] Lavar [Arrington] back into the mix, it does a lot for them. You put him at defensive end, put him in at linebacker, drop him in coverage, whatever it may be, where he can get back to Pro Bowl form."

Brian Dawkins press conference

11-02-05

On how important this game is in his mind:

"This is certainly an important game for us. It's another game in the NFC East and we are trying to back on the winning side. That is the first thing we try to do as a team anyways, is win the NFC East. This is an important game. Once again, to get that winning feel and get the confidence back."

On whether the defense has done enough early to keep the team in the game:

"Obviously not, especially the last game. That was too many points to give up. You don't want to give up any points. If any, you want to hold them to 9 points. Let's hold them to field goals once they get down there. That is the mentality we have to have. They are driving the ball sometimes and I give them credit for making plays, but it's not a guarantee they are going to get in the end zone. That is the mentality we have to get back. Just because you are getting down there does not mean you are going to get in. You are going to get field goals."

On what the difference is this year when it comes to teams making big plays on the defense:

"Sometimes we are in position to make plays, like myself. He did a good job of getting up before I could and making a play, but I have to get that ball out. That is not an excuse, but I have to make sure that next time, I get it out. For whatever reason, we are giving up too many big plays. That is something we are not known for as a defense and we are not going to allow ourselves to be known for."

On how frustrating it is when the defense is on the field the whole first half:

"Once again, it goes back to us. The thing about defense is you cannot worry about what the offense is doing. If they go three and out, why can't we make the other team go three and out. If we do that, we are off the field and the offense is back on the field. If they go three and out again, let's make them go three and out. Let's make it a defensive battle and sooner or later, we believe our offense will click and if we do not allow the other teams to score points, the offense can get into a rhythm and play the kind of ball we know they can play. Regardless of what our offense does, this defense should not be predicated by what happens with them."

Whether he feels the defense needs to play a perfect game to win:

"No. It feels like that is what defense is about. When I came into the league and I understood more about defense, your defense plays a certain way, period, regardless. I don't care if you don't have an offense on the other side of the ball or your offense is the best in the league. You play defense a certain way. You don't allow points, you get turnovers, you make big hits and you get pressure on the other guys. That has nothing to do with your offense."

On who is the biggest offensive threat the offense has, RB Clinton Portis or QB Mark Brunell:

"They are both doing well, especially Brunell. He's dong a great job this year. He's getting the ball where it needs to be and the big play potential between him and [WR Santana] Moss has been tremendous for him. I believe you still have to make sure that run does not go crazy on you. If that run goes crazy, then everything else open up. That is one thing we have to pay attention to and when the passing plays are called, we have to make sure we are in position to make plays."

On whether he sees that it is harder for teams who lost the Super Bowl to do well the next year:

"I could care less about that. That has nothing to do with us. We just are not doing the things that we need to do to win. As far as I am concerned, we did not go to the Super Bowl last year. This is a whole new season."

Whether he sees that teams' level of play goes up when they play this team:

"I'm pretty sure that is the case, not just because we went to the Super Bowl, but because of the success we had for a number of years here. If I am going up against a team that has been that good for that many years, I'm saying to myself that we need to have a good game against this team. We can't let them score points and offensively, we cannot turn the ball over with this team and their offense. I'm pretty sure that is what they are saying and with us struggling a bit, they lick their chops a little more."

On whether he thinks this team still has the same hunger they once had:

"I would hope so. I don't know the mentality of everybody; I can't get into everybody's head. But I would hope that the hunger is still there. I know it is for me. I know that I am not satisfied with last year. I'm not satisfied with playing 2 or 3 good games. I want to play every game perfectly. Will that happen? Probably not, but that's the mentality that I hope everyone is taking into every game. We still didn't accomplish what we set out to last year and we are not even thinking about what could happen at the end of the season. We need to think about what can happen in this game right here. We can actually stop talking about playoffs and Super Bowls right now."

On whether anything came up in the last few days to describe the team's slow start:

"By looking at the film, we are in position to make plays. We just are not making them. That is the bottom line. The opposing team is doing what it takes to keep the chains moving. On third down we just are not getting off the field and when you don't get off the field on third down; their offense stays on the field and has three more downs to get to the end zone. As a defense, we have been better on 3rd downs and we need to get back to being that way in the first and second quarter and not let them drive the ball. I'm talking about penalties as well."

On whether the lack of a pass rush is killing this defense:

"I wouldn't say its killing us. We all know we want to get more pressure on the quarterback whether it is by blitz or whether it is by the guys up front. Even going back and looking at the film, the television copy only shows you so much. A lot of those throws he was making, he was under duress. The guys were a step away from getting him. So, that falls on the secondary to cover a little better, to give them that extra step they need to get to the quarterback. To me, it works hand in hand. Do I believe those guys can do it? Yes. Do I believe that [defensive coordinator] Jim [Johnson] is going to devise a scheme for us when teams do max protect to take advantage of that? Yes."

On why he thinks the team is struggling in the red zone:

"There have been some missed communications on a couple of occasions. Some pretty good throws by the quarterbacks, some good catches by tight ends and we are just not making plays like we need to make. I am not going to keep saying, ‘what we used to do,' because this is the same defense as we are. We are a good defense and we are going to continue to be a good defense. We just have to make the plays when they are presented to us. I am not going to say, ‘what we used to do.'"

On whether he believes that offenses have caught up to this defense and its schemes:

"I think, just like we look at the tendencies of offenses and try to take advantage of them, they look at our tendencies of our defenses and take advantages of those. It's a chess match and when they find out that, Jim moves us around and does different things to not let them catch up with that. To me, we have to continue to do what we do and play with a certain hunger and mentality that this team is not going to score on us. That is something that is lacking a bit right now, especially on the road. When we play here, it's completely different. But when we are on the road, I don't want to say flip a switch because the switch is turned on at all times, but we have not dialed into that zone of emotion that we need in a hostile environment."

I think the way of changing it, with the ball in my hands be able to establish a tempo early, if it's in the run game or the pass game.\"

On\r\nhow much more difficult it will be to get things going with WR Terrell Owens\r\npossibly out this week:\r\n\r\n

\"With all of us kind of banged up it's tough, but I think I'm definitely going to work myself back to a way of getting back out there and I'm sure he's doing the same. So, if neither of us are out there, or if one of us is out there, I think it's important for all of us as a team to just understand the situation, and just get this thing going. And for myself, if I'm out there, just make sure all of the guys are involved and try to spread it around and do whatever it takes in order for us to come out with a win.\"

On\r\nwhether he is getting close to changing his philosophy of always playing:\r\n\r\n

\"No. I love this game too much. As hard as it is with what we're going through right now, it would be even harder sitting on that sideline and feeling like you're not a part. When you do that it seems that you're just throwing in the towel, and my towel is still folded up sitting on the chair. I never throw the towel in and always feel confident that we can make things happen, and we did do it through the course of the game in \r\n\r\nDenver\r\n when were down 28-0. To put 21 points on the board like that, if we were able to do that early it would have been a much different ball game. And I look forward to us making that change and being able to do that.\"\r\n\r\n

On\r\nwhether he feels he is getting enough time to get to the line, make his reads,\r\nand adjust if necessary:\r\n\r\n

\"We're\r\nhurried a little bit, but it's just communication from me and the rest of the\r\nguys on the sideline to the guys that are in the huddle, and getting to the\r\nline, so if we have to make a check, we're doing it in a reasonable enough\r\ntime. But the ball is in my hands. I'm the leader out there on that football\r\nfield. I'm the coach out on the field, the captain, whatever you may want to\r\ncall it. I have to be the one to get it going and that is something I will\r\ndo.\"\r\n\r\n

On\r\nwhether the crowd noise has been an issue on the road:\r\n\r\n

\"There\r\nare a lot of variables. And if it's getting up to the line and making a check,\r\nI have to go down the line and make sure every offensive lineman knows what's\r\ngoing on, spread it to the receivers, turn around, talk to the backs, and in due\r\ntime look at the play clock and see exactly how much time we have left. It has\r\ngot to happen fast and it's something that I have to do.\"\r\n\r\n

On\r\nwhether he feels he is getting the play with enough time to adjust if necessary:\r\n\r\n

\"The\r\nmajority of time, yes.\"\r\n\r\n

On\r\nwhether getting to the line late makes it a bit easier on the opposing defense:\r\n\r\n

\"Of\r\ncourse at times it does. I think it's important that we be able to get up and\r\nbe able to snap it somewhere in the 5-10 second range, where they just can't\r\njump off because they know it's going down. But teams have been taking full\r\nadvantage of it and that is the case.\"\r\n\r\n

On\r\nwhat he pinpoints the slow starts to:\r\n\r\n

\"I\r\nthink it's not being able to establish the tempo of getting into a rhythm. I\r\nthink from when we have been in a rhythm starting the games out, we've been\r\nable to do a lot of different things, pass, playaction,\r\nrun the ball well, which will lead us to getting points. I think once that\r\nhappens early in the course of the game, confidence continues to rise. Everyone\r\nsort of plays like we're playing with a lead and you're able to do different\r\nthings throughout the course of a game.\"\r\n\r\n

On\r\nwhat goes into creating a script each week:\r\n\r\n

\"I\r\nhave the opportunity to take plays out if I don't like it, or have us run the\r\nplay pretty much a lot of the time through the game if I see that we're\r\ngetting the coverage or the defense that it would able to work against. What\r\nhappens during the course of the week is a lot of film work, preparation,\r\nunderstanding what you're going to see out there on that field, the blitzes\r\nyou're going to see and the answers to those blitzes.\"\r\n\r\n

On\r\nabout how many plays he can take out:\r\n\r\n

\"It\r\nvaries every week. (Jokingly) We're only running the ball twice this week.\"\r\n\r\n

On\r\nwhether he goes along with the gameplan and around\r\nhow many plays he takes out:\r\n\r\n

\"It\r\ncould be a few. It could be five or six. It all varies. Everyone has their input\r\nin it. All the coaches are brainstorming up there. When we're out at practice,\r\nif you don't feel comfortable with running it that week, you put it on the\r\nshelf for awhile. I think the best way [to get things going],\r\nespecially for the offense that we have, we have to have our timing and\r\nchemistry there. If we're all confident in that play, then we'll be able to\r\nexecute.\"\r\n\r\n

On\r\nwhether he trusts WR Reggie Brown enough with the progression he has made in\r\nthis offense:\r\n\r\n

\"I\r\ndo. I think he's preparing himself real well. Obviously it's tough being the\r\n3rd wide receiver, but he's done a great job with that. We've\r\ndefinitely worked on timing in practice and we've been able to run different\r\nroutes and have good placement on balls. And he's been doing a great job of\r\ncatching the ball and getting upfield for it. It\r\nwould be a good thing for him in the situation where T.O. doesn't play to get\r\nout there and be able to make some plays for us.\"\r\n\r\n

On\r\n\r\n\r\nWashington\r\n 's defense:\r\n

\"The\r\nRedskins are a very good team. They had a tough one against the Giants just like\r\nwe had one against \r\n\r\nDenver\r\n . You put him at defensive end, put him in at linebacker, drop him in coverage, whatever it may be, where he can get back to Pro Bowl form.\"\r\n

 \r\n\r\n

Brian Dawkins press conference\r\n

\r\n11-02-05 \r\n\r\n

On how important this game is in his mind:\r\n

\"This is certainly an important game for us. It's another game in the NFC East and we are trying to back on the winning side. That is the first thing we try to do as a team anyways, is win the NFC East. This is an important game. Once again, to get that winning feel and get the confidence back.\"

On whether the defense has done enough early to keep the team in the game:\r\n

\"Obviously\r\nnot, especially the last game. You are going to get field goals.\"\r\n\r\n

On what the difference is this year when it comes to teams making big plays on the defense:\r\n

\"Sometimes we are in position to make plays, like myself. He did a good job of getting up before I could and making a play, but I have to get that ball out. That is not an excuse, but I have to make sure that next time, I get it out. For whatever reason, we are giving up too many big plays. That is something we are not known for as a defense and we are not going to allow ourselves to be known for.\"

On how frustrating it is when the defense is on the field the whole first half:\r\n

\"Once again, it goes back to us. Regardless of what our offense does, this defense should not be predicated by what happens with them.\"

Whether he feels the defense needs to play a perfect game to win:\r\n

\"No. That has nothing to do with your offense.\"

On who is the biggest offensive threat the offense has, RB \r\n\r\nClinton\r\n Portis or QB Mark Brunell:\r\n\r\n

\"They are both doing well, especially Brunell. He's dong a great job this year. He's getting the ball where it needs to be and the big play potential between him and [WR Santana] Moss has been tremendous for him. I believe you still have to make sure that run does not go crazy on you. If that run goes crazy, then everything else open up. That is one thing we have to pay attention to and when the passing plays are called, we have to make sure we are in position to make plays.\"

On whether he sees that it is harder for teams who lost the Super Bowl to do well the next year:\r\n

\"I could care less about that. That has nothing to do with us. We just are not doing the things that we need to do to win. As far as I am concerned, we did not go to the Super Bowl last year. This is a whole new season.\"

Whether he sees that teams' level of play goes up when they play this team:\r\n

\"I'm pretty sure that is the case, not just because we went to the Super Bowl, but because of the success we had for a number of years here. If I am going up against a team that has been that good for that many years, I'm saying to myself that we need to have a good game against this team. We can't let them score points and offensively, we cannot turn the ball over with this team and their offense. I'm pretty sure that is what they are saying and with us struggling a bit, they lick their chops a little more.\"

On whether he thinks this team still has the same hunger they once had:\r\n

\"I would hope so. We can actually stop talking about playoffs and Super Bowls right now.\"

On whether anything came up in the last few days to describe the team's slow start:\r\n

\"By looking at the film, we are in position to make plays. I'm talking about penalties as well.\"

On whether the lack of a pass rush is killing this defense:\r\n

\"I wouldn't say its killing us. Yes.\"

On why he thinks the team is struggling in the red zone:\r\n

\"There have been some missed communications on a couple of occasions. I am not going to say, ‘what we used to do.'\"

On whether he believes that offenses have caught up to this defense and its schemes:\r\n

\"I think, just like we look at the tendencies of offenses and try to take advantage of them, they look at our tendencies of our defenses and take advantages of those. But when we are on the road, I don't want to say flip a switch because the switch is turned on at all times, but we have not dialed into that zone of emotion that we need in a hostile environment.\"\r\n
