After the loss to Seattle, Demetric Evans' wife worried a little about his future. She said he wanted security; and he wanted something else.
''He wants to come back to Washington,'' she said. ''He really likes the other linemen.''
Evans got his wish, re-signing with the Redskins on Monday -- after it appeared he might be forced to sign elsewhere. Evans has steadily improved the past two seasons under line coach Greg Blache and can help at end and tackle.
Washington also signed corner Kenny Wright, who started 16 games at corner for Jacksonville last season. The Redskins have now solved their hole at nickel corner after releasing Walt Harris last month. Wright has started 47 games in his seven-year career.
