Preseason Schedule Set

Although we've known the opponents for a few weeks, the Redskins finalized the dates and times of the games today.

As announced earlier, Washington will open their preseason on August 13 with a nationally-televised Sunday night game in Cincinnati. Then, in a break with what has become something of a tradition, the Redskins will host a preseason game on a Saturday night. For the past several years, most of the home preseason games have been played on Fridays. The opponent will the New York Jets and the chances of Patrick Ramsey seeing a lot of playing time are very good.

Then it's off to New England on another Saturday night contest. The team will wrap up the preseason with a Thursday night game at FedEx Field against the Baltimore Ravens.

There is also the possibility of a scrimmage at FedEx with the Redskins and the Ravens. Last year, the teams got together in the Ravens' stadium and, while there was no express home and home agreement, there could well be a reciprocal visit by Baltimore.
