Redskins corner Shawn Springs (abdomen) is listed as doubtful for Monday's game at Minnesota. It would be just as good to list him as out.
When Springs had his surgery, Redskins director of sports medicine Bubba Tyer said he would miss four to six weeks. That meant he would miss the opener, as many wrote. So the fact that he won't play is expected, though the Redskins held out some hope that he would recover in time.
Kenny Wright is expected to take his place in the lineup.
Meanwhile, running back Clinton Portis (shoulder) is listed as questionable and end Renaldo Wynn (ankle) is listed as probable.
