The event offers the unique opportunity for Redskins fans to have lunch and spend the afternoon with members of the team.
Limited tickets are available at a cost of $150 for adult tickets and $50 for children's tickets. Family, company and group packages are also available.
The Welcome Home Luncheon will kick-off at 12:30 p.m. on August 28 and will conclude at approximately 3:00 p.m. The afternoon will consist of a barbeque-style lunch and a kid's carnival, complete with games, face painting and other attractions for children. The Alumni Association will also present last season's 2001 Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year Awards during the luncheon.
All proceeds from the luncheon will benefit the Washington Redskins Leadership Council and the Redskins Alumni Association. Founded in 2000 by Redskins Owner Daniel M. Snyder, the Washington Redskins Leadership Council is the charitable arm of the Washington Redskins. Its mission is to be the voice that raises awareness of issues concerning youth in the region. The Council will utilize the unique assets of the Washington Redskins organization and its corporate and community partners to achieve measurable results that improve communities.
