Rogers Out, Salave'a, Griffin Questionable

Just when one starting cornerback was getting rounded into form after missing time with an injury, the other will miss Sunday's game.

Corner Carlos Rogers will not play against the Colts on Sunday because of his broken right thumb. He had three screws inserted in his thumb on Monday.

Defensive tackles Cornelius Griffin (hip) and Joe Salave'a (calf) both are listed as questionable. Both were limited in practice today. Left guard Derrick Dockery (hip) did not practice, but is probable. Receiver David Patten (thigh) is questionable.

Linebacker Lemar Marshall (ankle), Marcus Washington (hip) and Shawn Springs (groin) are probable. Marshall and Washington did not practice. Springs said he's still not sure if he's ready for fulltime duty, saying, ''I'm still trying to shake the rust off.''

But, with Rogers out, he'll clearly have to play more. Also, newly-signed Troy Vincent took more reps at safety. But he could play corner if necessary, especially in the slot as a nickelback.
