Santana Moss and Clinton Portis remain uncertain for Sunday's game against Dallas.
Neither key offensive player practiced today. Mark Brunell and Lemar Marshall also sat out and Antwaan Randle El was limited.
But Randle El and Brunell are expected to play -- Brunell said he would practice Wednesday. Chris Samuels (knee) also did not practice, but he's been resting his knee in previous weeks.
However, Moss said he wants to be careful with his hamstring injury, making sure it doesn't prolong his road to full recovery. Portis is battling a mild high ankle sprain, but said he's hopeful of playing Sunday, adding, ''I don't want to miss this game for a second time.''
Marshall's status is also uncertain. But the good news for Washington's defense is that Cornelius Griffin and Joe Salave'a did practice and will play Sunday.
