...Jason Taylor jogged on the practice field today, but that's not enough to convince coach Jim Zorn that he will be ready for Sunday. In fact, Zorn said he doubts Taylor will be ready for the Eagles game.
...Receiver Malcolm Kelly participated in all of practice and finally might be ready to play again after battling a sprained ankle. Kelly has played in one game, but has just one less catch than Devin Thomas, who has two. Thomas played a decent amount Sunday yet was not a factor in the passing game.
...Randy Thomas (turf toe) and Marcus Washington (hamstring) both were limited. Stephon Heyer (shoulder) did not practice. Jon Jansen said he assumes he'll be starting at right tackle Sunday.
...One of the big topics in the locker room today was the Eagles' blitz and how to stop it. Philly has an NFL-best 17 sacks, bringing pressure from all over. They're more creative and aggressive than most teams so it's a major concern.
...Zorn told a story today bout his first trip to the old Vet in Philly. They were standing in a huddle during a break in action.
"Nick Bebout, our tackle, was with us all a sudden he's like, ‘Aaaaaahhh!' " Zorn said. "We looked down and he had been shot with a pellet gun. There was a five millimeter pellet by his leg. I'd never seen anything like it befo re."
...Seems Chris Horton is becoming a bit of a "star" in his little corner of the locker room. His locker is near Cornelius Griffin's and LaRon Landry's. They put down some tape in front of his locker in the shape of an H. Depending on how many media are around him, he has to stand in a certain block.
...For what it's worth, Byron Westbrook says his brother, Brian, likely won't play because of a sprained ankle.
