A Noble Move in Free Agency

We knew it was coming but today the Washington Redskins made it official, Former Cowboys DT Brandon Noble has signed a contract in Washington. The terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Noble attended Penn State University, and as a senior he posted a team-high eight sacks and a career high 72 tackles.  He is a native of Virginia Beach, VA, where he attended First Colonial High School and was awarded 3-A State Player of the Year honors.

In 1997 Noble was signed as a rookie free agent by San Francisco.
Noble was signed to the 49ers practice squad at the end of training camp.
He was released early in the season, but re-signed with the 49ers the following season and allocated to the Barcelona Dragons of NFL Europe. He was signed to San Francisco's practice squad during the 1998 season.

The 6-2, 307 lb. defensive tackle started all 16 games in 2001 and played a key role in the Cowboy's significant improvement on defense, helping the team finish fourth overall by allowing only 287.4 yards per game.  Noble contributed 55 tackles, six quarterback pressures and 3.5 sacks.
Noble had an incredible season in 2000, taking over the starting role at defensive tackle. 
Noble finished the season with a career-high 69 tackles and ten QB pressures.  In 1999, he was second on the squad in tackles by non-starters with 36 and fourth on the team with 3 sacks.
