Originally a 3rd round pick by the Lions in 1995, Sloan is coming off of his best statistical year where he caught 37 balls for 409 yards and seven touchdowns.
He will surely be the team's starting TE on opening day ahead of second year man Boo Williams and veteran Lamont Hall.
Sloan, when at 100%, is one of the better all-around TE's in the NFL. He should put up very solid numbers in Mike McCarthy's offense, whcih would give the Saints something they have lacked since Wesley Walls in the mid-90's. Expect 45-55 catches for 450-550 yards and 5 TD's out of Sloan.
