A Baker's cyst kept DT Hollis Thomas from working out on Tuesday morning, according to Saints head coach Sean Payton.

Payton said Thomas had some fluid drained from the cyst and was optimistic he would practice Tuesday evening when the Saints work out at the nearby stadium.

"We have access to that stadium. The surface is very good and they have lights. I think we're at that point in camp where it would be a good changeup to get a night practice in the stadium," Payton said.

WR Devery Henderson and CB Tracy Porter will be out for the next week to 10 days, but Payton said the rest of the team should practice Tuesday night, including CB Mike McKenzie. He did expect to rest LB Jonathan Vilma.

"One of the things I wanted to do and I talked about it yesterday is give him a day (off). We'll probably rest Vilma this evening but for the most part, the list is still as it was yesterday when we finished," Payton said.

Payton was also optimistic that the fluid drained from RB Deuce McAllister's knee last weekend would allow the veteran to continue his progress from last year's injuries.

"He seems fine right now. At this point, it's about working his way back into football shape. He's wearing a brace, but he seems to be handling it well," Payton said.
