Oakland Raiders (1-3) at New Orleans Saints (2-3)

KICKOFF: Sunday, 1:00 ET

TV: CBS (Kevin Harlan, Rich Gannon)

SERIES: 11th meeting. Raiders lead 5-4-1. Saints won last game 31-26 in Oakland. QB Aaron Brooks, who would play for Oakland in 2006, passes for 282 yards and a touchdown. In the last game at New Orleans, the Raiders prevailed 31-22 as Rich Gannon threw two touchdown passes and Zack Crockett rushed for two touchdowns.

PREDICTION: Saints 31-24

KEY INJURIES: Raiders: DE Derrick Burgess (triceps strain) is day-to-day; RB Darren McFadden (turf toe) said he should be close to full strength by game time. Saints: WR Marques Colston (thumb) and TE Jeremy Shockey (sports hernia) returned to limited practice this week; DT Sedrick Ellis (knee) is out; WR David Patten (groin) is uncertain.

FAST FACTS: Cable is the Raiders' eighth coach since returning to Oakland in 1995. ... The Saints' three losses have been by a combined 10 points.

PERSONNEL NEWS

Raiders:

DE Derrick Burgess missed practice for the second straight day with a triceps strain and his status is undetermined.

DE Jay Richardson would move from right end to left end as the starter if Derrick Burgess does not play, with nickel rusher Kalimba Edwards taking on a more full-time role as the right end.

RB Darren McFadden was limited with turf toe but is expected to see time against New Orleans as the backup for Justin Fargas.

S Gibril Wilson missed practice with the flu but is expected to face New Orleans.

LB Isaiah Ekejiuba was limited with a shoulder injury but the special teams captain is expected to face the Saints.

Saints

DT Sedrick Ellis, who had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Oct. 3, will miss Sunday's game with the Oakland Raiders.

CB Aaron Glenn has missed the last three games with a right ankle injury and will likely be out again Sunday against the Raiders. The Saints hope to have him back for the Oct. 19 game at Carolina.

TE Jeremy Shockey, who had surgery for a sports hernia on Sept. 23, was held out of practice Thursday after working on a limited basis Wednesday.

WR David Patten did not practice again Thursday with a groin injury and his status for Sunday's game with the Raiders was not known.

DT Antwan Lake, who re-injured his groin in Monday night's game with Minnesota, missed his second straight practice Thursday. He is listed as out.

FS Kevin Kaesviharn has a back problem and did not practice Wednesday or Thursday. He is doubtful.

RT Jon Stinchcomb, who experienced back spasms in Monday night's game, returned to practice Thursday on a limited basis.

WR Marques Colston, who's missed four straight games with a torn ligament in his left thumb, worked limited again Thursday. He is questionable.

CB Mike McKenzie returned to practice Thursday on a limited basis after resting his surgically repaired right knee Wednesday following a Monday night game.

C Jonathan Goodwin, who has been battling a hamstring injury, was limited in practice again Thursday.

The Saints placed PK Martin Gramatica on IR and signed former sixth-round pick Taylor Mehlhaff. Gramatica had kicked with a sore groin for a month and missed potential game-winning kicks against Denver and Minnesota.
