Green Bay was trying to do that as well. Both teams are power passing teams trying to become more balanced. NE won't run so well against us either and our defensive press will likely control outside the numbers. This next game will be won or lost in the middle of the field.
Green Bay had a fading Findley and a hurt slot man but that is not the case with NE. Gronk and perhaps Hernandez, who is close to back now, along with Welker are going to be a problem, unless we can get to Brady quickly, which lays this game on the linebackers. Cam and Thomas will get run by if the backers can't handle the crossing routes.
Seattle is not built to chase a team like NE on the scoreboard but it was not built for a team like GBay either. Our under 20 offense showed a pulse against Carolina this weekend but that is not as good a defense as they looked against us. NE may be better than Carolina defensively but probably about the same as GBay so if we can pull off a GBay type of game at home I will be looking forward to the 2nd half of the seasons schedule to see how we progress as an offense.
