In the quick video above, head coach Pete Carroll explains that while Drew Nowak may be earning a lot of repetitions with the first team offensive line at the moment, if it was a game situation, veteran Lemuel Jeanpierre would be getting the start.
Determining who will line up at center for the Seahawks is arguably the most critical decision Carroll and assistant head coach/offensive line guru Tom Cable will make in training camp. The Seahawks open up the regular season on the road in St. Louis a team that, of course, beat the Seahawks a season ago and features one of the league's most fearsome defensive fronts.
Jeanpierre played well a year ago when injuries forced Max Unger to the sideline, as did Patrick Lewis. The Seahawks were 7-0 in games they started. Lewis, surprisingly, has been alternating time with the third string unit with raw rookie Kristjan Sokoli.
