Seattle ends preseason with a loss

The Seattle Seahawks finished their preseason with a punch less 20 to 3 loss to the Denver Broncos in Mile High Stadium. The loss left Seattle's preseason record at 2 and 2.Seahawk management will now huddle up and make the necessary cuts to bring the active roster to the league mandated number of 53 by Sundays deadline.


The Seahawk offense was none existence in the season finale as it produced just 231 total yards. The offense managed just 18 yards on it's first two drives and didn't have a first down until Matt Hasselbeck hit Alex Bannister on a 23-yard completion with 55 seconds left in the first quarter.

 Hasselbeck left early in the second quarter after playing just three series, in which he went 4 of 5 passes for 44 yards.


Trent Dilfer relieved Hasselbeck, finished the rest of the first half and played all of third the quarter before giving way to Seneca Wallace.

 Dilfer engineered the team's only score when Filed Goal Kicker Josh Brown connected on a 52 yard Field Goal to end the first half.


The team went 0-11 on third down conversions and finished with 75 rushing yards.


Game Notes:

Free Safety Damien Robinson saw his first live game action since separating his shoulder on August 2nd.

Shawn Spring left the game with a shoulder in the first half and went in for X rays. Results have not been released.
