Seahawks run out of gas.

The Green Bay Packers handed Seattle it's first defeat of the season with a balanced offensive attack that netted 336(159 rushing, 177 passing) total yards. The two teams were engaged in a first half offensive shoot out before the Green Bay defense shout out the Seahawks in the second half on it's way to a 35 to 13 victory.

 

The Green Bay Packers offense punted on its first possession of the game then found the end zone on its next five possession.

The Packer offense took advantage of Shaun Alexander fumble when Brett Favre hit Wide receiver Donald Drive on a 34-yard pass to give the Packers an early 7-0 lead.

Seattle tied the game on a Shaun Alexander one-yard run on its next possession

Green bay regained the lead on a 1yard run by Ahman Green.

Josh Brown narrowed the lead to 14 –10 with a 27 yard field goal.

Ahman Green scored his second touchdown of the quarter from one yard out to give the Packers a   21 to 10 lead. Green finished the game with 118 rushing yards on 27 carries.

Seattle Kicker Josh Brown set a club record when he booted a 58-yard field goal to end the half. The longest field goal previous to Browns kick was a 55 yarder by John Kasay.

The Seahawks received the second half kickoff and punted after just three plays.

Green bay's offense continued its mastery over the Seattle defense when running back Tony Fisher scored on an 11-yard run.

The Green Bay defense came up big again when Safety Darren Sharper intercepted a Matt Hasselbeck pass intended for Darrell Jackson and returned it to the Packers 44 yard line.

 

Brett Favre threw a two-yard shovel pass to Fullback William Henderson for a touchdown. Drive line: 9 plays, 56 yards, and 4:53 time of possession Green bay 35 Seattle 13.

 

Favre finished the game with 185 passing yards, 19 completions on 25 attempts and two touchdowns.

 

Game Notes:

Hasselbeck finished the game 23-of-39 for 225 yards with no TDs and one interception.

Shaun Alexander finished the game with 108 rushing yards on 20 attempts.

Koren Robinson had eight receptions for 76 yards; Darrell Jackson had 4 receptions for 58 yards.
