Wallace signed

The Seattle Seahawks announced a roster move regarding their receiving corps.

KIRKLAND, WASH.—The Seattle Seahawks signed rookie WR Taco Wallace

from their practice squad, it was announced by the club today.

Wallace, from Kansas State, was selected by the Seahawks in the seventh round in last April's NFL Draft. Wallace has been on Seattle's practice squad the entire season after totaling four receptions for 63 yards during the preseason.

No additional move was necessary to the active roster because the Seahawks had just 52 players.

To replace Wallace on the practice squad, the Seahawks signed rookie TE Casey Poppinga. A rookie from Utah State, Poppinga was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was released by the Steelers following training camp.
