Head to Head Competition

The Seahawks dropped their first game of the season to the Packers 35-13 on October 5, at Lambeau Field.
  The Packers built a 21-13 first-half lead behind two Ahman Green touchdown runs and a Brett Favre 34-yard touchdown pass to Donald Driver. Seattle scored on a 1-yard Alexander run and two Josh Brown field goals, one a franchise-record 58 yarder as time expired in the first half. Green Bay added two third-quarter touchdowns to extend their lead to 35-13.
  The Seahawks turned the ball over twice that day and Green Bay converted the turnover into 14 points.
  For the game, Favre completed 19 of 25 passes for 185 yards and two touchdowns while Seahawks QB Matt Hasselbeck completed 23 of 39 for 225 yards and an interception.
 Both Shaun Alexander (20 attempts 102yds), and Ahman Green (27 attempts, 118yards) topped the century mark rushing.

Common Opponents

Minnesota, the Packers split the two game series with the Vikings, losing the season opener at home 25 to 30, then avenged that loss with a Week eight 30 to 27 victory in Minnesota. The Seahawks suffered a week thirteen 34 to 7 manhandling at Minnesota.

Arizona Cardinals, Seattle swept the season series with the Cardinals, a week two 38-0 road victory in Arizona and a week fifteen 28 to 10 home victory. The Packers suffered a Week three 20 to 13 loss in Arizona.

St. Louis Rams, the Packers suffered a week seven 34 to 24 loss to the Rams in St. Louis.

The Seahawks split the season series with the Rams, a Week three 24 to 23 victory at home and a 27 to 22 loss in St Louis in Week fourteen.

The Packers were a Week Eleven 20 to 10 winners over the San Francisco 49ers in Lambeau. The Seahawks swept the season series against the 49ers this year, 20-19 at home and 24 to 17 in San Francisco.

NOTES: Seattle is looking to end the NFL's longest current playoff drought without a victory. Seattle's last win in the postseason was a 1984, first-round win over the Los Angeles Raiders. The Seahawks downed the Raiders 13-7 on December 22, 1984.  Green Bay is 13-1 all-time at home in the playoffs (11-1 in Green Bay, 2-0 in Milwaukee).
