Robinson Charged With DUI

According to a report by Mike Sando and Sean Robinson of the Tacoma News Tribune, Seahawks wide receiver Koren Robinson has been charged with driving under the influence and reckless driving following a May 6 incident in the Seattle suburb of Medina.

The Seahawks, Robinson and Robinson's family were unavailable for comment. Sando's report says that Robinson pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to the misdemeanor criminal charges filed in Kirkland Municipal Court, and he is due back in court on July 18.

Robinson had served suspensions totaling six games in the 2004 season – two were internal, and four were mandated by the NFL due to Robinson's violations of the league's substance abuse policy. That this became public on June 1st is certainly ironic, given the fact that cutting Robinson loose starting at the NFL's close of business today saves the team $1.35 million in salary cap room – possibly going a long way towards signing coveted OLB/DE Peter Boulware.

Koren Robinson seems to have finally run out of lives with the Seahawks. If that is not the case, the team will have a lot of explaining to do. Top Stories
