Seahawks.NET Power Rankings - Week Ten

This week's Power Rankings sees little movement in the top ten as most of the favorites won last week. The biggest gainer on the week was the Cleveland Browns, who jumped up eight places from the basement after scoring their first rushing touchdown of the year, while the Arizona Cardinals tumbled seven spots and are now the only team in the NFL without a rushing touchdown.

1
There is no doubt left: the Colts are the best team in football.

2
Winning games without your starting QB is a hallmark of a great team.
2
3
The Seahawks can all but lock up the NFC West with a win at home against the rival Rams.
3
4
Eli got his first road win and the Giants are in the drivers seat of the NFC East.
4
5
The Broncos have figured out that Plummer isn't Elway and are putting teams away early and grinding out wins.
5
6
Carolina absolutely demolished the overrated Bucs in Tampa last week. They'll look to hold onto the NFC South lead against the surprising Jets this weekend.
7
7
Perhaps the Giants game was a fluke. Washington controlled the tempo on Monday Night and ground out a tough divisional win against last year's conference champs.
10
8
The Cowboys' injuries are a concern, particularly since the list is long AFTER the bye week.
8
9
It would appear the Pats' reign has come to an end. Brady played lights out against the Colts, but it wasn't enough.
6
10
Vick played like a starting quarterback and the Falcons won. If he can do it week in and week out, the Falcons will win their division.
9
11
The Chargers finally won a close game to pull within one game of the AFC West lead.
12
12
The Jags needed to come from behind against the woeful Texans. Still, they won a divisional game in the 4th quarter to keep pace in the wildcard hunt.
11
13
Cincinnati beats the teams they're supposed to. Now they need to steal a few wins from teams that have winning records.
13
14
An extremely gutsy call by Dick Vermiel keeps KC in the running in the tough AFC West.
14
15
Look at the Top Ten teams. They all are league leaders in rushing. Does that mean anything to you, Andy?
11
16
Chicago has a two-game lead over the rest of the division.. If Kyle Orton can keep mistakes to a minimum, they Bears will make the playoffs.
17
17
The NFC's Paper Tiger has started the long slide down. I don't see how this team can turn it around.
15
18
The Rams' whole season hinges on Sunday's game at Seattle.
18
19
If Oakland wants to have any chance at the postseason, they've got to beat Denver this weekend.
19
20
0-9 on third down was why the Dolphins lost last week.
20
21
Buffalo is two games under .500 and yet only one game out of the divisional lead in football's weakest division.
21
22
Hmm … no Daunte Culpepper, no INTs and a win for Minnesota. Maybe just chucking the ball downfield isn't such a hot idea after all.
27
23
You can't win games without getting into the endzone.
22
24
The Browns got a team win last Sunday, and Trent Dilfer ensured he'll retain the starter's job for at least a few more weeks.
32
25
Even fake punts are getting called back on penalties. That's what happens when you have the youngest team in football.
24
26
Joey Harrington's two first half turnovers buried the Lions and marked the end of his career as a starter anywhere in the NFL.
25
27
One has to wonder if Brett Farve isn't secretly wishing he'd retired before this debacle of a season.
26
28
The Jets gave San Deigo all they could handle last week but still came up a few yards short. Still, Brooks Bollinger would appear to be the interm solution at QB.
30
29
The Niners' D was as solid as the offensive line was porous. No wonder San Francisco has started four quarterbacks in their last five games.
28
30
Dennis Green continues to be the front runner for the 2005 Tin Foil Hat Award. For the third time in two years he's benched the only QB who has ever won a game for him in Arizona. How can he possibly justify that?
23
31
The Saints drew 60,000 fewer fans than LSU did. It's only a matter of time until the paper bags come out.
29
32
Back to the basement for the Texans despite showing signs of life this week.
