Four keys to Seattle winnning in big D

 1. The Seahawks must stop the run. They are the NFL's worst run defense. Giving up 190 yard a game.

Seahawks head coach Mike Holmgren;" I think team  defense is very simple in some ways and kind of complex in others. The simple part of it  is you can't miss tackles. Defense, is all about  hitting  and tackling  and we've  missed a lot of tackles. I think we've been  knocked of the ball a little bit."

"Holmgren talked about Emmitt Smith breaking the record.

"Yeah , as much as I want him to break the record ,I don't want him to break it against us."

 2. Seahawks must put pressure on Dallas quarterback Chad Hutchinson who was elevated to starter for Sundays game.

Hutchinson needs to be blitzed and confused before he gains any confidence.

Seahawks Head Coach Mike Holmgren;"It can go either way, it can be tough for a young guy to step in and yet he can be successful.Hutchinson has different athletic skills than those of  Quincy Carter."

Translation: Stop the run and blitz the quarterback .

 3. Play consistently for four quarters.

The good news is that in five of it's six games Seattle has gone into the half time break with a lead.Bad news is that Seattle has been outscored 85 to 29 in the second half.

 4. Continue to pass block.

Seahawks quarterback Trent Dilfer has been sacked a mere 10 times. If Seattle can give Dilfer the time , Seattle wide outs could have a  productive day against a weak Dallas secondary.

If they don't find a way to win in big D , the Seahawks could quickly find themselves in a big hole few teams have ever climbed out of .
