Scout.com has confirmed that the Seattle Seahawks reached a contract agreement with second-round pick John Carlson, a tight end from Notre Dame.
Financial terms of the deal are not yet disclosed.
Seattle traded up in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft to take Carlson, sending their second (#55-Ray Rice) and third round (#86-Tom Zbikowski) picks to the Baltimore Ravens for the 38th overall pick in the draft.
Carlson moved into Notre Dame's starting lineup as a junior in 2006 and made an immediate impact as one of Brady Quinn's favorite targets. In his final two seasons in South Bend, Carlson notched 87 receptions for 1,006 yards and 7 touchdowns.
