Happy Holmgren Addresses Media

A happy Mike Holmgren talked to the Seattle Press after his teams impressive 39 to 32 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

1. How did the offense look on film ?

"They looked good. We started a little slow and missed a couple things early, but then we kind of settled in and played pretty well. I thought we were smart. There were a number of times they came off the edge, corner and safety blitzes and so on, and Matt saw it and our receivers saw it, so we adjusted it. We did some good things that way and I thought Shaun ran hard, that was very good in the game, and our receivers made plays, catches."

2.Was he concerned about how Darrell Jackson would handle the game?

I didn't have a lot of questions because he is a tough guy and he wants to play and wanted to play. Come back and play and he has always displayed his toughness and courage to me many times, but until you do it coming off an injury you kind of have to go through it and then go, okay, I'm okay. Every player who comes off an injury, whether it's a concussion or knee or anything, you have to go through that where you get hit the next time and go, okay, I'm back in the saddle."

3. How did it feel to get two instant replay calls his way

"I can't remember one going my way for a long time, it seems like. Yesterday I didn't know, but it was sure nice, man was that nice. The interception was a big-time play by Huff. I couldn't see his feet and all I heard was that the official said he didn't have control of the ball, and when I saw the replay he had control of the ball, so if that was what they were basing it on, I said, he has control of the ball but I can't see his feet so I didn't know what happened there. Then I asked upstairs what they were seeing and they said it looked like this could go our way. The one with Jerramy they said, that's ours. They don't tell me that unless they are very sure, my coaches, because then I get mad at them. If they say no, it's ours, then I'm pretty sure.""I can't remember one going my way for a long time, it seems like. Yesterday I didn't know, but it was sure nice, man was that nice.
