It was apparent early on that the Seahawks were no match for their hosts as Indianapolis scored touchdowns on three of their four first half possessions as well as the first drive of the second half.
Colts QB Peyton Manning had his fourth-consecutive 300-yard game, going 31 of 41 for 353 yards and had two touchdown passes and an interception as well.
Seattle's secondary was shredded by Manning and the Colt receivers with TE Dallas Clark leading the way with eight receptions for 80 yards while WR Reggie Wayne (6 rec. for 74 yards) and WR Austin Collie (6 for 65) each had touchdown receptions.
Seattle QB Seneca Wallace was harassed by the Colts defensive front-seven most of the day, suffering five sacks while getting knocked down eight more times. He did manage to complete 33 of 45 passes for 257 yards and a touchdown, but fumbled twice.
Indianapolis also held Seattle to just 49 yards on the ground, allowing them just 279 yards of total offense.
The Colts were in control from the very beginning taking their first drive 80 yards in 10 plays with rookie RB Donald Brown taking it over from one yard out.
The teams then traded possessions until the Colts took over at their own 10 with 9:31 left in the half. Manning then guided a nine-play, 90-yard drive that ended when Manning hit Wayne for a five-yard touchdown.
Seattle then showed some life taking the ball down to the Indianapolis nine, but a holding penalty took them back to the 19 and they were only able to manage a 38-yard Olindo Mare field goal.
Manning then worked his magic yet again, guiding the Colts 78 yards in nine plays, hitting Collie with a 21-yard touchdown pass with just :03 left on the clock sending the teams into the locker room with Indianapolis leading 21-3 and effectively putting the game out of reach.
The Colts added a Joseph Addai touchdown run on their first possession of the second half along with two Adam Vinatieri field goals (37 and 19) while Seattle got a seven-yard touchdown run from Wallace and FB Owen Schmitt caught a one-yard touchdown pass in garbage time to reach the final score.
Seattle, now 1-3, will head home to lick their wounds and prepare for the 2-2 Jacksonville Jaguars who throttled Tennessee 37-17 at home.
