Scout.com's Adam Caplan reports that the following players have worked out recently for the Seattle Seahawks:
QB, Todd Boeckman - The 6-5, 243-pound former Ohio State quarterback went undrafted in April, but tried out for the Cincinnati before signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Waived before training camp, Boeckman was signed and re-waived before the final 53-man roster was determined.
FB, Julius Crosslin - A 5-11, 245-pound fullback from Oklahoma State, Crosslin has spent parts of the last two seasons with the Dallas Cowboys. He has yet to appear in a regular season NFL game, but has 15 carries for 54 yards and 5 receptions for 21 yards in pre-season action. He remains a free agent.
FB, Jerome Johnson - A linebacker at the University of Nevada, Johnson converted to fullback in attempt to make the St. Louis Rams, who signed him as an undrafted free agent in April. Johnson had one carry for two yards, and caught three passes for 22 yards during the pre-season. He most recently worked out for the Carolina Panthers.
WR, Justin Brown - A 6-2, 200-pound wide receiver from Hampton, where he caught 84 passes for 1,370 yards and 11 touchdowns the last two season, earning All-MEAC honors after 2008. Brown signed with the Arizona Cardinals after going undrafted last April. Brown was released in June, and has had workouts with the Baltimore Ravens and Green Bay Packers since. Brown remains a free agent.
WR, Patrick Carter - Originally entering the NFL with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent from Louisville, Carter was most recently with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' practice squad. The 6-3, 200-pound wideout is currently a free agent.
TE, Tyson DeVree - The 6-6, 245-pound tight end originally joined the New England Patriots as an undrafted free agent from Colorado, appearing in two games for the Patriots last season. DeVree has caught two pre-season passes for 37 yards with New England, but was waived towards the end of the '09 training camp and signed with the Buffalo Bills. He was released a few days later, and has been a free agent since.
TE, Jason Pociask - A fifth-round pick (150th overall) by the New York Jets in 2006, Pociask has one pass for 7 yards in four NFL games, all in 2007. The former Wisconsin Badger has also spent time with the Patriots, Buccaneers, Indianapolis Colts, and most recently spent time on the Panthers' practice squad.
LB, Beau Bell - The Cleveland Browns traded up to select Bell in the fourth round (104th overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft. Bell made five tackles in three games, but a knee injury landed him on injured reserve. Cleveland cut Bell at the end of this year's training camp.
