Seattle's defense surrendered 364 yards, but did pick off QB Kyle Boller twice with one returned by CB Josh Wilson for a touchdown while also racking up four sacks, and 19 quarterback hurries.
Seattle got the scoring going early as they were able to take their second drive and march 64 yards on eight plays before Forsett posted the first of his two touchdowns, this one coming from three yards out to put Seattle up 7-0.
Early in the second quarter the Rams were able to tie the score when Boller hit WR Donnie Avery for a one-yard touchdown pass, but Seattle got even when Wilson hauled in a tipped pass and rumbled 65 yards the other direction putting the Seahawks back up by seven at 14-7.
Rams K Josh Brown did manage to hit a 55 yard field goal as time expired in the first half and sent the teams to the locker rooms with Seattle leading 14-10.
That's when Seattle defensive coordinator Gus Bradley decided to really put the heat on Boller and forced him into another interception, this one by S Jordan Babineaux in the endzone that effectively ended any Rams chances of winning the game.
Seattle got a 29-yard field goal from Olindo Mare for the only scoring in the third quarter and then got a two-yard touchdown run from Forsett and another Mare field goal, this one coming from 38 yards out while St. Louis RB Steven Jackson ended the scoring with a one-yard touchdown run with :44 left on the clock.
Seattle usually needs a big day by quarterback Matt Hasselbeck to even have a hope of winning a game, but the veteran signal-caller only had 102 yards passing on the day. Nate Burleson was the leading receiver, hauling in four receptions for 46 yards, but it was Forsett and the defense that had big days.
Babineaux had 13 tackles while being used as a blitzer to harass Boller all afternoon. LB David Hawthorne had seven tackles and a sack while LB Leroy Hill (four tackles and a sack), DE Patrick Kerney (four tackles and sack) and DE Cory Redding (two tackles and a sack) he had solid days for the defense as well.
Seattle, now 4-7, will take on San Francisco at home next week.
