The Seattle Seahawks have signed free agent linebacker Matt McCoy, Orlando Castano, McCoy's agent, announced on Twitter.
Terms were not disclosed.
McCoy, 27, spent parts of the last two seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, making 21 tackles in 17 games, including two starts.
Prior to joining the Buccaneers, McCoy split the 2007 season with the New Orleans Saints and Philadelphia Eagles, who had chosen him in the second-round (63rd overall) of the 2005 NFL Draft out of San Diego State.
For his career, McCoy (5-11, 230) has 99 tackles and a pair of quarterback sacks in 47 games.
