Roethlisberger Awaiting MRI Result

Steelers QB carted off the field following low hit to left knee.

Ben Roethlisberger is awaiting word on an MRI following a hit to his left knee during the third quarter of the Pittsburgh Steelers' 12-6 win over the St. Louis Rams.

Roethlisberger was hit by a crawling Mark Barron while attempting to throw a pass in the third quarter. He limped off the field and was carted to the locker room.

Following the game, all Mike Tomlin had to say was that Roethlisberger "is being evaluated. I'll have more info for you the next time we come together."

The immediate conjecture was that Roethlisberger suffered an MCL injury that could keep him out two to four weeks. The Steelers are of course hopeful that Roethlisberger's ACL is not injured.

Roethlisberger completed 20 of 24 passes for 192 yards and an interception. He left the game with the Steelers leading 9-3.

Michael Vick replaced him and completed five of six passes for 38 yards.
