Injury news and notes from around the league heading into week-three of the 2003 NFL season.

New York Jets (0-2) at New England Patriots (1-1)

Jets: CB Donnie Abraham (shoulder) is expected to miss at least six-to-eight weeks with a fractured shoulder. Veteran Ray Mickens and Jaime Henderson are expected to primarily replace Abraham.

Patriots: QB Tom Brady (shoulder/elbow) will play this weekend despite some pain in his arm. At the present time the team acknowledges Brady's condition as a slight strain. C Damien Woody (chest) continues to have pain and discomfort in his chest, which has limited his strength and mobility. Presently he is listed as is day-to-day and is expected to play Sunday. LB Rosevelt Colvin (hip) will not play this weekend and the team does not expect Colvin to be available any time soon, as tests have shown that Colvin has suffered a dislocation of the hip and other related trauma. Christian Fauria (knee), Mike Vrabel (elbow) and Willie McGinest (elbow) are suffering from various minor injuries and will play Sunday.

Pittsburgh Steelers (1-1) at Cincinnati Bengals (0-2)

Steelers: C Jeff Hartings (knee/ankle) is listed as questionable to play this weekend against the Cincinnati Bengals. Hartings is expected to suffer throughout the season with his knee condition. RB Verron Haynes (knee) is expected to practice and play Sunday. OLB Joey Porter (thigh) will practice with the team and the chances are good that he will start on Sunday.

Bengals: RB Corey Dillon (knee) is suffering with a strained/hyper-extended right knee that is expected to limit him somewhat in practice this week, but he will play on Sunday. WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh (hamstring) is progressing slowly from a pulled hamstring and again will be out of action this weekend. Linebacker Riall Johnson is suffering with a strained right calf and is expected to miss the next 2-3 weeks. Offensive lineman Victor Leyva said he would practice this week after missing the first two weeks with a pectoral strain.

Jacksonville Jaguars (0-2) at Indianapolis (2-0)

Jaguars: Starting QB Mark Brunell (back) is slightly limited this week in practice due to a strained back, but is listed as probable for the Jagaurs game this Sunday. KR/PR/WR Jermaine Lewis (knee) was placed on IR this week due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee that requires surgery, he is out for the rest of the season. OLB Keith Mitchell (neck) is out indefinitely with a neck injury he suffered in the Jaguars loss to the Buffalo Bills last Sunday. DB Kiwaukee Thomas (groin) and LB Eric Westmoreland (strained medial collateral ligament), were injured in the Jaguars game on Sunday and their status is unknown at the present time.

Colts: CB Joseph Jefferson (pelvis), DE Dwight Freeney (ankle/abdomen), CB Donald Strickland (groin), RB Dominic Rhodes (knee), WR Brandon Stokley (hamstring), S Idrees Bashir (knee); CB Jason Doering (finger); CB Nicholas Harper (back/knee); CB Walt Harris (knee), CB David Macklin (ankle), C Jeff Saturday (back)

Minnesota Vikings (2-0) at Detroit Lions (1-1)

Vikings: RB Doug Chapman (ankle) is considered questionable to play this week due to sprained ankle and soreness in his Achilles' tendon. WR D'Wayne Bates (foot) is suffering from a mild sprain of the foot and will play Sunday. S Corey Chavous (knee) is progressing well from a sprained right knee and will play Sunday.

Lions: Backup WR Az-Zahir Hakim (knee) is questionable to play on Sunday. LB James Davis (rib) may be limited in practice this week and his status will be determined later in the week.

New Orleans Saints (1-1) at Tennessee Titans (1-1)

Saints: WR Joe Horn's (knee) sprained knee may be limited in practice this week but he is expected to play on Sunday. DT Jonathan Sullivan (knee) is expected to miss at least two weeks after suffering a sprained knee. OLB Sedrick Hodge (leg) is expected to miss six-weeks due to a broken leg. Roger Knight will replace Hodge with Derrick Rodgers and James Allen getting added playing time in his absence. CB Dale Carter (eye) will have surgery this week to repair a broken orbit bone in his right eye and is expected to miss 3-4 weeks, Fred Thomas will replace him in the lineup.  FB Terrelle Smith has a strained left knee that may limited him in practice, but he is expected to play Sunday. DE Darren Howard is out.

Titans: QB Steve McNair (finger) is not hampering him and he will play Sunday. TE Frank Wycheck (concussion) is out and not expected to play for the next 2-4 weeks. G Benji Olson (knee) is out and is expected to be out of action for no less than three weeks with a torn MCL in his right knee. RB Chris Brown (hamstring) has missed the team's two regular season games with a pulled hamstring has been practicing with the team and is expected to be available for the Titans game this Sunday. OT Brad Hopkins (knee) is listed as day-to-day, but will play Sunday. DE Jevon Kearse (hip) may be limited in practice this week, but is expected to play. DT Albert Haynesworth (elbow) is expected to miss a few weeks with a partially dislocated elbow. MLB Rocky Calmus (hamstring) is listed as day-to-day with a slight hamstring strain. CB Andre Woolfolk (foot) who has been out of action since the Titans preseason opener with a toe dislocation is expected to play on Sunday.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-1) at Atlanta Falcons (1-1)

Buccaneers: QB Brad Johnson (groin) is listed as probable for Sunday with a strained groin that may hamper his mobility. WR Joe Jurevicius (knee) had knee surgery on a torn MCL and is expected to miss 4-6 weeks. CB Ronde Barber (hamstring) is limited in practice this week, but will play Sunday.

Falcons: QB Michael Vick (leg) is progressing well from a broken leg and is expected to return in 4-5 weeks. LB Will Overstreet (infection) has developed a staph infection due to an abrasion on his elbow, but is expected to play Sunday. OT Todd Weiner (back) may be limited in practice this week due to soreness in his back. G Kynan Forney (elbow) is listed as day-to-day, but will play Sunday. Tyrone Williams (neck) is suffering through a strained neck and will play Sunday. LB Keith Brooking (neck) is listed as probable with a strained neck. LB Chris Draft (shoulder) is limited in practice this week with a strained shoulder, he is expected to play on Sunday.

Kansas City Chiefs (2-0) at Houston Texans (1-1)

Chiefs: Starting RB Priest Holmes (ribs) is listed as questionable with bruised ribs. Holmes may be limited in practice, but he is expected to play on Sunday. LB Kawika Mitchell (hamstring) is listed as questionable, but the team does not expect him to be available for the game against the Houston Texans on Sunday. CB William Bartee (ankle) is listed as doubtful with a sprained ankle and his status may be a game-time decision. DE Vonnie Holliday (ribs) probable with sore ribs, DT John Browning (toe) is probable with a sprained toe, and S Greg Wesley (knee) is listed as probable with a strained knee.

Texans: OG Milford Brown (knee) will be limited in practice this week and will be evaluated on Friday. K Kris Brown (groin) has a slight groin strain and is expected to play on Sunday. G Antwan Peek (knee) sprained knee is questionable and could be a game-time decision. DE Gary Walker (shoulder) is struggling with a sprained shoulder and is not expected to play on Sunday. LB Troy Evans (groin) is hampered with a strained groin, but is expected to be available to play on Sunday. S Travares Tillman (arm) is recovering from a broken arm and is expected to play Sunday.

New York Giants (1-1) at Washington Redskins (2-0)

Giants: OT Luke Petitgout (back) missed the Giants Monday night game against the Cowboys and is questionable for the game on Sunday. DT Keith Hamilton (hamstring) is working through a strained hamstring and will be evaluated later in the week.

Redskins: WR Taylor Jacobs (abdomen) is out and expected to return next week. QB Patrick Ramsey (left shoulder) is expected to play on Sunday. RB Trung Canidate (ankle) slight ankle strain may be limited in practice, but will play on Sunday. TE Zeron Flemister (ankle) is progressing from an ankle injury, but will be limited in practice and will be evaluated later in the week. WR Laveranues Coles (neck) is working through a slight neck strain which may reduce his practice time, but he will play on Sunday. WR Taylor Jacobs (abdomen) is not expected to play.

Green Bay Packers (1-1) at Arizona Cardinals (0-2)

Packers: WR Donald Driver (neck) is out with a sprained neck and will return to practice drills next week. WR Robert Ferguson (knee/ankle) is questionable after re-injuring his sprained knee during the team's game on Sunday. He will be evaluated on Friday and is expected to be a game-time decision. TE Wesley Walls (hamstring) is day-to-day. LB Na'il Diggs (knee) coming off a sprained knee is day-to-day.

Cardinals: QB Jeff Blake (heel) is questionable and expects to play this Sunday. WR Kevin Kasper (back) is considered doubtful to play. WR Larry Foster (ankle) is expected to practice this week and he will be evaluated later in the week to determine his availability for Sunday. WR Bryan Gilmore (knee) is limited in practice and will be evaluated on Friday. WR Jason McAddley (concussion) is day-to-day. LB Ray Thompson (concussion) is day-to-day and will be evaluated on Friday.

St. Louis Rams (1-1) at Seattle Seahawks (2-0)

Rams: S Jason Sehorn (foot) is out and expected to return in 2-3 weeks. WR Kevin Curtis (leg) has begun to work with the team and could return next week. WR Shaun McDonald (thumb) is out and expected to miss 3-5 more weeks. RB Marshall Faulk (eye) will practice with the team this week and play on Sunday. DT Ryan Pickett (ankle) is day-to-day.

Seahawks: CB Shawn Springs (shoulder) is out and not expected to play for 4-6 weeks. DT Norman Hand (toe) is questionable to play this Sunday with a turf-toe injury. Cedric Woodard would replace Hand if he is unable to play.

Baltimore Ravens (1-1) at San Diego Chargers (0-2)

Ravens: RB Harold Morrow (elbow) is out. RB Musa Smith (knee) recovering from knee surgery is out and expected to return in a few weeks. QB Kyle Boller (knee) has a slight sprain and is expected to play. OG Edwin Mulitalo (knee) is recovering from a knee sprain and is day-to-day.

Chargers: WR Reche Caldwell (wrist surgery) is out after dislocating his wrist which required surgery. TE Josh Norman (hamstring) is out. WR David Boston (heel) still has not practiced due to a heel injury and his status is uncertain. LB Donnie Edwards (groin) is limited in practice with a strained groin and is expected to play on Sunday. TE Stephen Alexander re-injured his groin last week and is limited in practice, his status is day-to-day and he will be evaluated on Friday. OG Kelvin Garmon (elbow) is day-to-day. DE Marcellus Wiley (hamstring) is nursing a strained hamstring which may limit him in practice, but Wiley is expected to play on Sunday.

Cleveland Browns (0-2) at San Francisco 49ers (1-1)

Browns: OT Barry Stokes (ankle) is limited in practice and is listed as probable for the game Sunday. CB Michael Lehan (hamstring) is questionable with a slight hamstring pull.

49ers: CB Jason Webster (knee) is out and expected to miss be out for 2-3 more weeks with a knee injury. OG Eric Heitmann (ankle) is out and is expected to miss 2-4 weeks. C Jeremy Newberry (ankle) is probable, but will miss practice time with ankle and tendon issues. OT Derrick Deese (ankle) is limited in practice, but expected to play on Sunday. OT Scott Gragg (ankle) will be limited in practice and is expected to play on Sunday. G Ron Stone (ankle) is listed as day-to-day with an ankle sprain.

Buffalo Bills (2-0) at Miami Dolphins (1-1)

Bills: WR Sam Aiken (hamstring) is practicing with the team and is expected to be available to play on Sunday.

Dolphins: QB Brian Griese (toe) is participating in throwing drills at practice but is unable to participate in team drills and is expected to be out two more weeks. DE Jason Taylor (ankle) is day-to-day with a knee strain. LB Zach Thomas is recovering from seriously bruised ribs and will play on Sunday. T Mark Dixon (ankle) is not expected to play ion Sunday against the Buffalo Bills due to a high ankle sprain. S Brock Marion (quad) is limited in practice this week with a strained quadriceps. S Shawn Wooden (hamstring) is questionable with a pulled hamstring and he will be evaluated on Friday.

Oakland Raiders (1-1) at Denver Broncos (2-0)

Raiders: QB Rich Gannon (back) is fighting back stiffness and/or spasms. Gannon may be limited in practice but will play Monday night against the Broncos. WR Jerry Porter (hernia) is out due to hernia surgery and is expected to miss the next six-weeks. S Rod Woodson (knee) coming off knee surgery will not play Monday night against Denver and is questionable to be ready the following week.

Broncos: QB Jake Plummer (shoulder) is progressing well from a mild separated shoulder and is expected to play against Oakland on Monday night. RB Clinton Portis (chest) is still experiencing some pain in the chest/sternum area, but will not miss any time. DT Daryl Gardener (wrist) is practicing with the team and will play against Oakland barring an unexpected issue.
