Spend draft day at Heinz Field

While the Steelers are selecting their players during the 2004 NFL Draft, Steelers fans can celebrate the unofficial kickoff to the 2004 Football season at Heinz Field with a special Draft Day event.

The 2004 Steelers Fan Blitz, presented by Comcast, will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 24 at Heinz Field and will feature a number of fun-filled events, prize giveaways, and a chance for fans to meet some of their favorite Steelers.

Tickets are now on sale at the Steelers Sideline Store at the Monroeville Mall, at the Steelers World Headquarters in Grove City and at Giant Eagle ticket outlets. Event-day ticket purchases will be on sale beginning at 10 a.m. at Gate A at Heinz Field. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.

Fans will be able to watch ESPN's live coverage of the NFL Draft on the jumbotron and enjoy Steelers highlights. WDVE's live draft-day broadcast can be heard in The Coca-Cola Great Hall, where most concessions will be open with special pricing.

The Pittsburgh Steelers Sideline Store, Merchandise Trailer and a special games area will be available for fans to enjoy. The East Club Lounge will be open to the public and feature activities for fans of all ages, including a special draft day contest area where prizes will be awarded to the most accurate "Draft Day General Manager." Additional prize giveaways will take place every 30 minutes, including opportunities to win Steelers tickets.

The Steelers Experience, the team's interactive theme park, will be set up along the playing field and in the South Plaza. Activities will include a 40-yard dash, 84 Lumber Thread the Nut, Coca-Cola Field Goal Kick, Reebok Look Like a Steeler, Sony Touchdown Run, McDonald's Kids Zone and the UPMC Obstacle Course.

Event parking is available at Gold Lot 2 for $4. All fans must enter the stadium through Gate A. Fans are advised to visit www.steelers.com for Heinz Field security guidelines.
