DE Aaron Smith talks about win

GVB: This had to feel good. They were the defending champs, they came in on a roll and you guys took it to them pretty good.

Smith: Yeah, they're a good football team and any time you beat a good football team it does feel good. I think they're still a good football team, they just had a few plays not go their way and we just happened to make a few more plays than they did. That's big in the NFL.

GVB: Jumping on them early the way you did was a big key, too.

Smith: Yeah, especially on the road-when you get down like that on the road it's hard to come back. With the way the crowd was into it, energizing us and disrupting their offense, it's hard to come back from that.

GVB: At one point at the start of the second half they had one yard rushing. Now, they didn't run the ball very much because they got behind, but that still says something.

Smith: Yeah, I think we got a good run defense and like you said they got down early. They're not going to run the ball very much when they get down by that many points that early in the game.

GVB: You were able to put some pressure on Brady, which is key. He still held his own in there but you guys were coming after him pretty good.

Smith: We knew that in order to win the game we had to get in there and disrupt Brady. Otherwise, if you don't get any pressure on him, he'll sit back there and pick you apart. We couldn't allow that to happen.

GVB: I thought this was a total team effort, too. I was talking to some of the other guys and all facets of the team-offense, defense, and special teams-they all seemed to be hitting on all cylinders today.

Smith: That's just how this team is. It's not always the same guy week in and week out. We got different guys every week stepping up and making plays and doing their job.

GVB: Just keep that momentum going. You're 6-1 right now, keep stacking them one of top of the other.

Smith: We just got to take it one day at a time, one game at a time.

GVB: Thanks a lot, Aaron, I appreciate it.

Smith: Thank you.
