Injury list grows

PITTSBURGH - As if the Steelers' injury list for Sunday's game at Cincinnati wasn't already long enough, it grew by two more players Wednesday.

Wide receiver Hines Ward missed Wednesday's practice with blisters on his foot, while linebacker James Harrison suffered a shoulder stinger and was forced to leave. Both were added to the team's injury report as probable to play against the Bengals.

The Steelers have a season-high 13 players on their injury report, though not everyone on the report missed practice Wednesday.

Tight end Matt Cushing practiced with a cast on his injured right wrist, while fullback Dan Kreider worked out despite a shoulder injury. Both players are listed as questionable for Sunday's game.

Despite being on the list as probable, linebacker Kendrell Bell and defensive ends Brett Keisel and Travis Kirschke also practiced.

But the Steelers remain painfully thin at running back, where Duce Staley, Jerome Bettis and Verron Haynes all sat out Wednesday. Staley and Haynes are questionable, while Bettis is probable.

Defensive end Kimo von Oelhoffen also missed Wednesday's practice because of a sore back, but said he expects to play Sunday.
