Q & A with Steelers RB Jerome Bettis

GVB: Jerome, this team just hasn't missed a beat. It seems like you guys do whatever it takes to win.

Bettis: Well, that's the name of the game. It doesn't matter how you win, it's just to win. We just gotta go out there and just find a way, whether it's throwing the football or running the football, we gotta do whatever we gotta do in every game. Every guy in this locker room understands that.

GVB: It must make you feel good, too, the way your teammates have responded to the 100-yard games you've put up. They're just as happy as can be about the way you're playing.

Bettis: Yeah, it's good, and the fact that I can come in and help this team win football games has been the most important part.

GVB: If somebody had told you before the season that a rookie quarterback would come in and put up the kind of season he's put up so far, you probably would have scratched your head a little bit. But he's had a great season so far.

Bettis: Yeah, I probably would have doubted it. If you said that a rookie would come in and win nine in a row, I probably would have said "Yeah, right. In what universe?" But he's come in and he's been deadly consistent, and he's been leading us.

GVB: What about Jacksonville? It's been a tough place for you guys in the past. Are you expecting another tough game?

Bettis: Yeah, it's going to be a tough game. We don't expect anything less than their best shot, so it's going to be difficult for us.

GVB: Jerome, I appreciate it. Thank you.
