Top TE Visits Steelers

PITTSBURGH -- The Steelers need a tight end, and on Thursday they hosted the top-ranked college prospect at the position.

Heath Miller, the 6-5, 256-pounder from Virginia, visited the Steelers, who aren't sure whether Miller is their man. Miller battled through a sports hernia last season as his production fell to 41 catches from 70 in 2003. He underwent surgery in January and hasn't worked out for any team since. Kevin Colbert declined comment when asked about Miller's prognosis. Colbert also denied media access to Miller, who could be available when the Steelers make the 30th pick of the first round.
