SCS: Did you spend that last week of camp on pins and needles?
NW: Oh yeah. I knew the situation with Fred being a draft pick and all. I knew there was always a possibility they could keep him or somebody else over me. I was an undrafted guy. I was facing long odds.
SCS: Now that you're officially part of the team, how does it feel?
NW: I was so happy, I walked around in a daze for a day. This has always been a dream and now I'm getting to live it. Guys who were in my situation don't always get this chance.
SCS: Have you gotten a defined role yet?
NW: Not really. I know I'm in there on some of the four receiver sets, but so has Sean (Morey). I know I'll be playing special teams. I don't care what they ask me to do. I'm going to do it.
SCS: What about the signing of Quincy Morgan? Does that bother you?
NW: No. Quincy is a guy who's played a lot of football in this league. If he can help this team win, I think it's great we got him.
SCS: But might his signing mean less playing time for you?
NW: I don't know. We'll see. I'm just here trying my best. And if that means covering kicks, then that's what I'll do. If that means being the fifth or sixth receiver, I'm going to be the best fifth or sixth receiver I can be.
