Wexell is committed to putting together the right team to ensure Steelers fans have all the personnel needed to serve the biggest Steeler community on the web.
"Donny gives me the flexibility to chase information and write columns. He'll be my link to the full offerings available through Scout.com that we haven't pursued in my time here," said Wexell. "I'm convinced Donny is committed to making this site the No. 1 Steelers site on the internet.
"The third piece of the puzzle is Dale Lolley. We're working to acquire his services. He's an outstanding reporter and provides us an insider link to the road games as well. Along with Dale, I'd like to add one more columnist and a stringer or two. It'll cost some money in the short run, but if it works out the way I picture it that investment will bear fruit down the road."
"This is a great day for Steelers fans" said Joel Cox, VP of Marketing for Scout.com. "We've worked hard to bring Jim Wexell on board as publisher of SteelerBlitz.com. We knew we had the right group when Jim and his team patiently managed the Site through a difficult transition period.
"Steelers fans have grown to appreciate Jim Wexell's unique insight in his reporting, as well as his deep network of sources.
"One of the best things about bringing Jim aboard as publisher is that now he's fully invested in providing the best inside information for Pittsburgh fans. Those who subscribe to SteelerBlitz.com are sure to get the latest and most accurate information from the most credible of sources, and with free agency and the draft right around the corner, the timing is perfect."
Wexell's role as publisher of SteelerBlitz.com will begin immediately.
